A lovely lady walking her two Basset hounds spotted us photographing George, she took quite an interest in our little bear posing on the gate and she told us how she has a bear just like him at home and was very happy to name him, after her bear, for us (I think she will be taking a look at the website when she returns home!).
Little George is a sweet Chiltern bear with an adorable expression, dating to between 1930/40 and measures 17 inches in height.
He is a five way jointed little bear and all of his joints move well. George has a light coverage of golden mohair with some general thinning but is in very good strong condition. He has excellent eye sight as he has retained his original amber glass eyes.
George’s black shield shaped stitched nose is original to him along with his mouth stitching. His paw pads are all covered in their original rexine covering and show some signs of age rubbing and surface wear but have no holes in any of them.
Little George is firmly filled with woodwool throughout and he is a really cute, all original little Chiltern bear (he comes wearing his hand knitted jumper too).
