Little Edward is a sweet little Chiltern bear with an adorable expression, dating to between 1940/50 he is known as a Flat Face Chiltern Hugmee bear, because of his flatter looking face design that was introduced just after the War, when materials were in short supply. He is a little titch of a bear measuring just 13 inches in height.
He is a five way jointed little bear and all of his joints move well. Edward has a light coverage of golden mohair with just slight thinning on his tummy and nose areas but is in very good strong condition. He has excellent eye sight as he has retained his original amber glass eyes.
Edward’s black shield shaped stitched nose is original to him along with his mouth stitching. His paw pads are all covered in their original rexine covering and show some signs of age rubbing and surface wear but have no holes in any of them.
He has had a couple of tiny, neat stitches added on his right paw at the wrist where the rexine and mohair meet but this is really quite hard to see.
Little Edward is filled with a soft Kapok filling to his body and limbs, with wood wool to his head.
He is a really cute, all original little Chiltern bear.
* Edward bear looks a little faded in the first photo but this is due to the bright sunlight when I photographed him, he is the same colour front and back. *
