Dexter a hand knitted teddy bear in pure Jacob wool

Dexter loves the snow and enjoys nothing better than a long hike out in the wonderful Winter weather. He always takes his faithful stick along, as being a small bear, it is very important to test the depth of the snow!
The lovely Dexter is a very special little bear – I have knitted him using certified pure organic Jacob wool! It is pure, soft and free from the use of any chemicals because the sheep are organically raised.
To produce the marled colouring for Dexter both the naturally coloured light and dark wool is spun separately and then plied (or spun together) giving a lovely two toned effect. This yarn is a little thicker than my usual hand spun wool which makes Dexter a little more chunky – ideal in helping him to stay warm in the snowy conditions he loves to go out in!
