Little knitted teddy bear Briony is a one-of-a-kind bear commission, sorry but she can not be made to order.
Little North Ronaldsay teddy bear Briony is very special – she is made from the wool of the most endangered of our British Sheep. For Briony I have used a mix of natural North Ronaldsay wool colours creating a warm grey shade with brown tones.
In fact, for each North Ronaldsay wool teddy bear I always use the natural colour of each fleece which can range from white to dark grey and also browns and fawn. The fleece is excellent for hand spinning and has almost a double coat of softer under wool with coarser outer hairs, which add more depth of colour to the yarn.
Briony is lovely and soft but due to the slightly hairy nature of the wool she does have a slightly course feel.
