This is little Archie who is an English bear, made by Lefray, and he dates to 1950. He measures just 12 inches.
Archie has a wonderful soft mohair coat in a dark gold colour. The mohair is quite thick with some bald patches, which add to his vintage charm, but no holes. His white mohair paw pads are typical of Lefray and are in good condition, although they are not as clean as they once would have been. There are also a few tiny repair stitches to one of his foot pads. Archie is five way jointed with all of his joints moving very well.
He has wonderfully appealing amber and black eyes with black nose and mouth stitching and he is softly filled with kapok to his body and wood wool to his head. Archie does have a non working squeaker in his tummy so he is rather a quiet little bear these days but we think that cheeky face speaks volumes!
Little Archie is a wonderful example of a Lefray vintage teddy bear in all original condition. He comes with his jumper too!
